Twice in 3 days we have had another accident involving a 5er. This one happend around kalamazoo mi. not as close as the one I posted before. This one is about 45 minutes south of me. Click on 'photo'

I hope this trend stops now.

Terrible

I feel for the Truck drivers family, thats a terrible way to go.

My daddy taught me to always think about the possibilities that may happen all the time while driving.... He was constantly grilling me when he was teaching me to drive.

"What would you do if that guy at the stop sign doesn't see you and pulls out in front of you?"

"What do you do if you have a blow out?"

"Never assume that the car with a turn signal on is actually going to turn."

"If you are first in line at a red light, Never take off from the light as soon as it turns green, while you would legally be right, eventually you will be dead right. Always give a second or two before you pull out."

"if you lose traction, DO NOT JERK THE WHEEL, drive through it."

All these years later and I still hear my daddy talking to me while I drive, pulling my big camper his instructions help more than ever.

Thanks!

Jeremiah

Millions of vehicles on the road daily and thousands of accidents occur everyday.

Don't matter if you are towing, in a car, on a bus, riding a motorcycle, pedaling a bike.....accidents happen and will continue to do so every day.

Be aware, drive defensively........be safe.

oh I know, Just odd that that we had to 5er accidents in 3 days. cant remember the last time I even heard of on accident around here involving an RV.

But the plus side to this story? In both cases the RV'er wasn't at fault.

Crossover median collisions are the worst. We have put concrete barriers in the center median after a rash of crossover accidents.

Your father is a smart man!! What would you do in that nano second? I always assume the worst. For some reason I seem to stumble across accidents. Yes, they are a fact of life, unfortunately. Being the first one to the scene is the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life.

Everyone please be smart! By the way, please "air up" your tires....

MDOT over the last few years has been installing cable barriers around here. Like what you see in Florida.

Same here, they catch cars pretty well, but after a car crashes into them, they are worthless until our TDOT gets around to repairing the barrier.

Not so sure how well the wire barriers would do vs an rv or a tractor trailer.

Thanks!
