well the insurance company totaled our Newmar so we are in delicate negotiations for a 2009 Bighorn 3055RL. we have dickered it into our price range and its well within the capabilities of my truck.
So it Looks like everything might fall into place in time for me to be able to get it to camp this weekend.
Any bighorn owners out there, how do you like your rigs?

I assume you are talking to a dealer.

When you are done making the deal, tell them you need to think about it overnight. Then call them and say yes based on them replacing the China bombs that probably are on the rig with GY G614 G tires.

I told a friend to do the same on his Cardinal and they went for it.

Good luck.

lol, good call. it has mission tires and I used that to get the price down close to where I wanted it then called them back today and notched it down to where I (almost but not really) feel bad, and Im having him deliver it to me. This will be our 5th camper and 3rd fifth wheel so Im happy about the price and quality.

I have, they answered a few questions for me there. Im always amazed when I clean out a camper just how much stuff we manage to pack in them over the years. When we cleaned out the Newmar last week it was 2 full size pickup loads.

Too bad you don't live in NW Washington I would make you a good deal on a set of Good Year G614 G 16" tires with leaa than 5,000 miles and 9/32" tread left and also a spare that has not seen pavement.

Now get a set of tires like I mentioned and enjoy towing.

My 2008 has been trouble free, and I would purchase again if I was in the market for a new rig. Take a look at the shocks mine had made in China marked on them.

Congratulations on the new Heartland! No doubt you will really enjoy the new rig. We are very happy with both the product and the company.

Bought a new 2012 Big Horn 3070RL. A real pleasure to live in and tow with a 1 ton Dodge. Good advice on tires, make it part of the deal, Good Year 16" G rated tires or no deal! They will have them put on at the factory. Hartland's warranty service is great with no questions or arguments. Stay in the trailer overnight at the dealers lot and operate every thing on the trailer especially the refrigerator, hot water heater, furnance, all the plumbing, water tanks ,slides and all the lights.
