Looking for a family fun type CG with things to do near by for an 8 year old. We are traveling from Syracuse, NY to Myrtle Beach, SC.

Any good ideas? We need to stay 3 nights.

In WIlliamsburg, VA, American Heritage is a nice park, and the area is loaded with great places; Busch Gardens, colonial WIlliamsburg.

Lancaster PA - Old Millstream - right beside Dutch Wonderland - lots of other attractions in the immediate area.

Frontiertown is outside of Ocean City MD. Assateague Island on the MD side is nice - have both State and Federal Campgrounds. The wild horses roam free on Assateague.

Agree with all of the above. Knoebel's Grove is an old-fashioned park that does not charge general admission - you pay only for the rides you want to ride. Food is reasonably priced, too. IMHO one of the best values in a park in the country. Dutch Wonderland is similar. Holiday Travel Park in Myrtle Beach has neat pool facilities that should appeal to the younger crowd.
