My wife and I started out with a 2004 Gulf Stream B Touring 24ft about 2 years ago. We test camped it for a long weekend and found plenty of relaxation and entertainment for us and our now six year old son. We took around 23 three to four day trips and spent the month of June on a four week adventure that took us from Johnson City Tn, to Nashville, Saint Louis, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, San Diageo, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Albuquerque, Nashville, Cosby “Jellystone Campground" and back home. WOW what a trip 5,997.2 miles. So we took the plunge after paying off our Gulf Stream we bought a 2012 Jayco Greyhawk 31SS that’s 31.9 feet. We love it. Can anyone give me some pointers, hints or downfalls on this unit?

oongratulations on your new RV, I know how exciting it is. Just enjoy you have a great manufacturer and sounds like it is perfect for your family. I have a same size unit but it is by Forestriver. All I can say is I have had mine for a year and still discovering things about it that I did not know. Just enjoy the ride. haha

You have good taste in Motorhomes! You'll love that Jayco!
* Pointers....enjoy it! Use the free Jayco trip planner!
* Hints....Distribute the weight of the stuff you carry carefully for the best ride and handling.
* Downfalls...Your going to be spoiled for life for Jayco. We bought our 1st Jayco 30 years ago..and have bought 6 more since then! Congratulations and best of luck!

Well as far as being to late in asking the question. We knew Jayco was the #1 in consumer ratings and I did my research but nothing is better than fellow campers to give you the scoop. The reason we grabbed it was because it was one of two 2012's left on the lot with about 45 3013 year models. It'd been on the lot for 284 days and they were seller motivated, lol. We really did get a great deal. Since I've combed the web and the price can't be youched. Thanks for the website and tips. Never thought about weight distrubution and every day I tinker I find new features that I didn't know it had automatic leveling or a built in GPS,lol. I'm loving the ride so far. Thanks again everyone. Safe travels to all!

Congradulations and happy motoring. I have the same make and modal in a 2010. Wife and I love it even more than we did when we bought it. That's because the more we use it the more we realize how well the size and features fit our life style. We run into other Greyhawks and all the people who own one like it.

We have a 2008 Greyhawk 31SS and love it. The floor plan fits our needs and we have plenty of storage. We had the dealer add a slide awning and 3 Maxx Air Vents as part of the deal. Enjoy your RV and hope you have some happy times.
See you on the road!

We bought our 2010 Greyhawk 2 years ago and no regrets! We don't get to use as much as we'd like but this has been a great RV far. The floor plan has worked perfect for us and our 2 large labs.

Congratulations on your new Greyhawk. We ordered a 2013 Greyhawk FS over 2 months ago and it is finally in. We have an appointment tomorrow morning for the PDI. I can't wait! You'll probably be hearing from me soon with a long list of questions. Happy Camping!
