Deep breath ... Dr. Tobin called me today about my blood work yesterday. A woman my age should have a total blood count of at least 12. Dr. Tobin said at 9 he usually has a woman in the hospital for a tranfusion.
My total blood count is at "5"!
After several conversations with Dr. Tobin and Dr. Arneke, Rick took me to the hospital. We preregistered me for tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. They drew more blood to type and match ...
Dr. Tobin has already said at least 3 units of blood will be given.
He has said that my blood count needs to be up before the next decision is made ... possible hysterectomy.

??? No insurance on me. ???

Please pray for us.
This has thrown us for a loop. Knowing that God is in control - and He has this for us. I'm praying "Hold me Jesus" with every breath in and every breath out.

Rick has been off work for over a week now - due to his truck being broke down. And they haven't even looked at his truck. ????? No miles ... no money.
Plus all that we have heard from his doctors this week ...

Then, on the way to the hospital today - our ac in the car went out ... it was working perfect last night ... then today ...

sigh.
please keep us lifted up.

Oh my briarose you must be totally in a state of anxiety! My heart goes out to you, and prayers are definitely forthcoming.

God bless and I hope you recover quickly!

Thank you all for your thoughts and your prayers. The general anesthesia went better this time than EVER before!!! THANK YOU!!! I felt so "lifted up" before and after it all, so I know I was being lifted during! THANK YOU!!!
You are literally the wind beneath my wings - THANK YOU!!!

Well ... home from the hospital ... had the DNC and cervical punch biopsy. Dr. Tris says that I have endometrial hyperplasia and very large fibroid tumors. Everything has been sent out to be checked for cancer. He said it doesn't look like cancer to him - yet. But he needs to be sure. He also said that there is no other option but a hysterectomy at this point. But with my blood and iron counts so low he doesn't think I would survive the surgery at this point. He wants to help get my blood built back up - which may mean birth control pills to control the bleeding if there is not one cancer cell present. And he has put me on an iron therapy program as well.
He told us yesterday that I was only a few days away from death with my blood count so low - was 4.9 before the 3 units of blood. At 7.1 yesterday - still critical. And he said that the endometrial hyperplasia was so bad that he knew it was only about one step above cancer. sigh.
I'm ok - just tired and weary. And overwhelmed - with Rick's health, now this ... sigh.
