Just a thought. If the red circle has a lot of Goodwill value, just use the red circle with a halo in it with no 50s guy. Wouldn't cost anything, since they could roll it out over time. We get a lot of new Good Sam stuff for displaying every year, just send the new stuff next year. Sam with letterhead, envelopes, mailers etc. Just plug in the new when you run out of the old.

what a great logo idea! it can be a clean and simple design. use the colors that have always been used and are recognized for the company. but gets rid of the stereotype old guy.

why? so that the 20-somethings, 30-somethings, 40-somethings, and ladies who camp feel excluded from the camping club that is suppose to support all its members? so that we teach another generation that the 50 or 60 year old white male is the acceptable image to represent everyone?
I would hope that Marcus's answer is "no" let's change it so that our logo truly represents all the members of our club.

Maybe Mr. Lemonis' team could give a preview here of the possibles they are considering. I liked them and gave my vote
Ronald McDonald gets a minor new look once in awhile, but could you change the Michelin man, the Gerber baby or Mr. Peanut? I think not.
Changes to such a recognized logo must be gradual to maintain that instant recognition and that is their plan.
Keep that in mind when you see the changes.

Wow! If you read all of that into a simple cartoon drawing of a fictional character, then I see why our society has fallen into such a sorry state of political correctness. You need to lighten up and go camping.
