I have a 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassoder with 2 dual therm air conditioners. The air blown from them is very noisy. Has anyone figured a way to quiet the air blowing.

I have worked on this issue for years on different rvs. Currently I have the plastic covers off my AC's. The whole cover. My AC's have a slide mechanism so you can direct the air through the ceiling vents. This always reduces the effectiveness. Opening the slide mechanism on the plastic covers on the ac itself allows a bit more air but the noise level really increases.Removing the AC covers has the air blowing straight down of course. Now to redirect it and decrease the noise I bought a couple of plastic Vent covers. They slide apart to expand and have magnets to hold them in place. Of course this setup is ugly but this is an experiment. This reduction in resistance increases the air flow and the cover deflects the noise. With the addition of a 110 volt fan placed where needed the improvement is dramatic.

It seems to me that the main noise I hear is that of the air blowing through and out of the vents. The speed of the air seems much faster than my AC at home.
Seems to me if several vents were added to an RV's system, that the air speed would drop and the noise would, too. Has anyone ever tried this?
There's lots of advice and information in forums...
sometimes it is correct.

roof top air, is not central air, its noise factor is just like 'window A/C'
plus you have the compressor using the roof as a 'sound board' resonator
i think reducing Noise was the driving force behind the use of 'basement' air in high end coaches

The only way that I know has to be done at the time of manufacture. It requires a thick roof-to-ceiling space with insulation PLUS insulated A/C ducts intalled in this space (and with multiple small outlets and inlets/registers).
I finally figured that one out by the time I bought(ordered) my 6th motorhome.
BTW I wish I could afford to order my 7th, so I could solve some of the other problems.

There was one class C MH maker whose name I completely forgot which had a YouTube video about them using not just metal air ducting (not just holes in the insulation or cheap plastic dryer hoses), but a thick enough roof to help with dampening the A/C compressor noise.
