I hooked everything up last night and the macerator only spun for about a second and stopped.
I have it wired directly to the battery terminals and the batteries have a full charge.
I also left the R.V. plugged in during this to help keep the batteries peaked.
The fuse is good and nothing went through it but water.

Faulty macerator?

Could be. Is this a new or used macerator? If used you may have to take it apart and clean it.

When you say the fuse is good are you talking about the one in the control handle? I've blown a few fuses, and it sounds like your fuse blew in the handle (Flojet).

Did you check the 20 amp fuse in the on-off switch? Also remove the macerator and look at the impeller and see if something jammed it up.

Hair around the cutters does it with mine. I have to take it apart once a season to clean it. The wife blames me but since I have no hair I thinking must be hers.

Macerators (at least on boats) don't last more than a couple of years. They don't get used a lot and the impellers get stuck or wear out.

When that happened to me, it was the fuse in the on/off switch.

Until then I didn't even know there was a fuse in there.

Mine is four years old but I take it apart annually to clean. I found a piece of plastic last time that was reducing the water flow.

Depending on the brand of pump, most have a screw on the back with a rubber plug over it. You can remove the rubber cap and turn the macerator with screwdriver or a quarter to see if its jammed. You should be able to see into the inlet of the macerator and see the metal cutter.
