I am new to this web site and trying to learn how to use it. Can you tell me how to reply to a post and how to see certain post of others you know have posted. Thanks for your help.

Guess I don't have the same page as you. Mine has MY forums, Private messages and help. I don't see a reply. Also not sure how to see the private messages, do you just click on it?

To reply to a particular post, click on the Quote link that is on the left side, above the post you want to respond to.
To find all the posts of a particular user, see the search tutorial at the top of this forum.

Do I need to know who posted a thread before I can search for something. I am not sure I understand what to do and was trying to find the tutorial search box to find out how this site operates. Thanks, for you help.

You do not need to know who started a thread to do a search. However, if you want the search engine to find a particular post, by a particular poster, you need to know something about it. The search engine will find all of the posts made by a particular member, if you know the member's username. The search engine will search for key words; however, that will probably return a lot of hits and you will need to restrict the search.
As stated in my first post, the search tutorial is a sticky at the top of this forum. Here is a link.
