I just change my 7 pin cord on my 5th wheel. It seemed like I was not getting enough voltage through the cable but I think it was actually the connection was not good. On my 5th wheel the cable comes in under the bed. Not hard to change it out and etrailer.com has the 8' 7-pin wiring for about $25.
i went down had 5 feet of whire cut put a 7 pin on the end and that plugs in to my truck then i went to the trailer wire and took off one 9 pin end and just put the wires together and yep not using orange or grey 9 pin to trailer 7 pin to truck thanks all
