While on a recent trip the Convection oven and dash AC in my Winnebago Vectra quit working. Whe n I returned to San Antonio TX I took the coach to the authorized repair shop and asked them to contact Good Sam ESP to get the warranty honored. Good Sam ESP said that they do NOT warranty electronics. They may not BUT my policy does. That is totally contradictory to what the advertisement on the policy says. It says that a convection oven is covered as long as it is original equipment that came with the coach, which it is.
As for the dash AC the condenser has a small hole and the claim was denied because something POSSIBLY could have hit it. Nothing in the policy nor WEB advertisement say you are covered UNLESS we can come up with possible reasons to deny a claim. I am very frustrated because they have GOOD SAM in front of their service. Are they trained to work on the bottom line or service customers by honoring the policy?

Here are the game rules:
1) Policy holder describes issue
2) Extended warranty provider figures a way to deny the claim

That's why I opted not to buy an extended service plan for my current moho. Most of those plans are nothing but a racket.

Call them and point out the clause in your contract that covers the oven. Have them show you where it doesn't. That's where I would go next.

I would wait until someone contacts you from goodsam on here...and they will, then calmly explain what is going on and give them a chance to look into it.If the condenser has a hole in it I would bet 99% it was hit and damaged and might not be covered because it is not a mechanical breakdown. There is a difference.
But let them tell you.

Did Good Sam tell you the oven was not covered or did the shop tell you what GS said? I once had a shop tell me the basement AC repair would not be covered because it was an adjustment...My call to the extended warranty found that was not the case, the shop didn't like the reimbursment schedule...another shop did the repairs under warranty.

A lot depends on how your dealer describes the damage to GS. I have not had one item todate disqualified that appears on my plan. Very pleased to date with this extended warranty and have saved thousands.

When anyone says to me that it is most likely this or most likely that it is in actuality saying I do not know what caused a problem so I will deny the claim. As for the convection oven the policy Very clearly states it is covered. I yalked with the ESP customer service and was told to send a letter to review board. I did but this is frustrating and time consuming. The policy, which is a Gold policy, is not limited to mechanical breakdown. It coovers most all original equipment in the coach excluding soft seals, hoses and wiring.

You need to go back and read the coverage....I just did as I have the gold policy and have a copy with me.I agree that the convection oven is covered if it was original equipment, the A/C would not be.
You are wrong......it is a mechanical breakdown warranty. From their website......
Good Sam Extended Service Plan is mechanical breakdown insurance, not a warranty
That means it complies with stringent insurance regulations. Our plan is backed by an A+ insurance underwriter, QBE Insurance Europe LTD in conjunction with Lloyds of London.

As I said, when a rep from goodsam reads this you will be contacted and sorted out, just wait a while. It is the weekend after all and mistakes happen.
