In the glove compartment was a notice from GM saying the vehicle was reconditioned after a hail storm. For good reason my parents were upset this was never disclosed prior to the sale ( they're going to be paying this off for a long time). Dealer said there was another one in the showroom. Same issue! Dealer refuses to rescind the contract or take anything off. Parents left RV on the lot and left. The RV is fixed, but you're buying brand new for that very reason...brand new.It should have been disclosed.
My question is this..Is the disclosure law in PA the same for a new RV as it is for a new vehicle?
Thank you so much for your help. My parents are getting older and this was an exciting purchase for them. I want to help them resolve it so they can get some enjoyment out of it.
No offense, but Could there be a bit of buyer's remorse here? I don't know why you would want to tear up the contract if you were happy with the purchase, over something that must have been very minor to only have a repair bill of $700. Likely a little dent or two.
Perhaps if it had had a collision, or undercarriage damage. I'll bet with some REASONABLE discussion, the dealer or coachmen would be willing to make an adjustment on the price or come to some other agreement short of canceling the sale.
Alaska is next! Still trying to fit the pontoons to the RV so We can get to Hawaii!

I am offended! Definitely not buyer's remorse! We were in the cab of the RV and ready to drive it home! We had our weekend all planned and now here I sit, in tears, over my disappointment. Would you buy a car or RV from some place where you were deceived! If they would have disclosed it before we signed at the dotted line, there would have been a choice to buy or not buy. I want a brand new RV, not one that had damage repaired! I'll spend my money at a reputable dealer and I hope we'll be able to do that.
Any PA lawyers out there that can tell me if RV's are covered under the "Disclosure of new vehicle damage law". I can't see to find the answer and the law seems vague on motor vehicle description. It doesn't say if it's just autos.
As a buyer I think I would like to know what happened to the RV to require a repair. However if the price of repair is truly only $600.00 the repair would have been very minor.
Nevertheless full disclosure is in order before deal is finalized. I don't see the repair being a deal breaker in the long run unless the OP just wants out of the deal under the notion they have been scammed or deceived in someway.

To me, less than $700 worth of hail damage would be a non-issue, certainly not a deal breaker.

It was hail damage, at GM factory before it was an RV. We are entitled to this disclosure and didn't get it at the dealer before we signed. We found the invoice in the "doghouse" when we were getting ready to leave the lot with our "new" RV. We left it there.

I'm just trying to find out if RV's are covered under this law. I don't want free law representation! I purchased a NEW RV, and didn't have disclosure of the hail damage. That is the issue here!
