I just saw a documentary on HBO- On Demand. I'm writing this and crying at the same time. It's called, "One Nation under Dog". It may be available elsewhere. It's about the many aspects of dog ownership and it may break your heart, as it did mine.
Wow, I did not see the documentary, but did research it after seeing your post. Wish I could have seen it and been able to share it with others. Thank you for sharing this information.
READ THIS FIRST! before watching this HBO documentary. It is NOT for everyone...altho it should be required watching for all.
As a lifelong dog owner it was very tough to watch...but I did it all the way thru. My wife who has been with Animal Control for over 30 years has a very tough time watching some of the video.
Totally well done and worth watching...it has substantial shock value however.
