I had been debating acquiring a vintage avion and restoring the trailer but when I started thinking about it I thought that I could almost build a replica of the trailer in honor of it for the amount of cash I would put into the restoration. Furthermore, even with restoration there is no guarantee that the camper wouldnt have frame damage or cracking that I couldnt see. Instead I was considering if I should just build the replica from scratch but I was wondering if anyone knew where i can get the plans to the old trailer.

Thanks in advance.
You are correct in the amount of work and money to totally restore an old trailer. If I could, I would buy just the shell from Airstream and I would build a nice frame for it and then put in the interior the way I want it.
I don't have any plans for the trailers, but if you go to the Air Forums they have a lot of pictures of AS trailers that are taken apart.
