We stayed nearby at King Phillip Campground and liked it. I drove through the place you are asking about. It was huge looked like nice park, but sites looked tight, mostly dirt. It was like an RV city.Looked like lots of activities and amenities, but pricey.
Not for me.

"These days, I have problems in areas that I used to not have areas", so life is good.
We always stay at Lake George RV Resort when we vacation in that area but I have heard that at Escape they now offer helicopter rides. Have a fun time. Cannot wait to go back with the grandkids!
Hi Newbie, welcome aboard. You will love the Open Roads Forum! The folks are swell and you can be assured that if you ask a question you will get someone out there that has something interesting to say. Great reading, great information.. how can you go wrong?
My wife and I have never been to Lake George Escape but I looked at it after your post and it looks swell. Maybe someday we will get out there.
We stayed at Lake George Escape before it was sold and liked it. I understand it has gone way down hill since the sale. We now stay at Lake George RV Park or Ledgeview. Both great. Both are much nicer and more centrally located.
We last stayed there two years ago. It was opening weekend. Not alot was open at the campground but there is plenty to do there. I believe Encore Resorts owns it now. As with all big companies you lose some of the personal responsibilities that having an owner on site brings. That said, we had a good time. No problems to speak of.
Not a bad drive into Lake George. LG has events almost every weekend in the summer and fall. Enjoy.
When we stayed in that area a couple of years ago we camped at Ledgeview campground and loved it. It's quiet and has lots of shade, paved roads, clean laundry, and a nice pool area. For being so close to the busy Lake George area it's very quiet and pleasant.
