Forgive me , I am sure this has been posted a 100 times, but cant find the info .
Any way, I am just flushing the rv anti freeze out of the fresh water system . Have ran a couple tanks through it, But it is still a little pinkish and slightly foamy.
Is it ok to shower in this water if it may still have a tad of the anti freeze in it??
I think it's supposed to be non toxic...Seems like it can take forever to get it all out. I don't think it would hurt you, but I'd try to flush it some more if you can....JMHO!

Sure why not I've seen all kinds of differant colors of hair in the last couple of years. It would be so cool to be able to tell other Rvers in the store by their hair color.
But I would keep flushing with water if possible. Most likely from hot water side. Just looked at bottle, mine says "Safe, Oderless, Tasteless" but warning on back says "eye irritant, flush with water if product contacts eyes"

(To cheap to buy new)
1990 37 ft 5th wheel that hasn't moved since 1996 (our best home)
1997 33 ft trailer (winter home in much warmer climate)
2005 25 ft M/H (our "stand up B" for traveling)
I learned the hard way.
NEVER put the pink anti freeze through the hot water heater.
Even after draining and flushing the heater several times, the smell and taste never really went away.
Sanitizing still did not eliminate the oder or taste.
I use the heater bypass and just drain it.

Yep. You don't want it in the hot water tank. Not only is it hard to get out, but gets expensive. Being frugal (cheap) I capture most of it in the jug it came in. Just watch and at the first sign of color change, pull bottle away and finish flushing the line. Mine takes 1 1/2 gal and I usually recapture a gal.

One thing I've seen people do to minimize the amount of pink stuff used is to winterize "wet" with the antifreeze, then hook up the compressor and blow out the lines. Any spots like elbows, valves, or low points will be resistant from freezing, which minimizes the amount of flushing you have to do come spring.
I'd probably keep flushing it, perhaps sanitize with some bleach (directions are around these forums somewhere), drain the tank, then follow up with a baking soda solution. That should get everything out.
I'm assuming Tyler, TX. I'd consider doing a "dry" winterization, using compressed air to blow out the lines, faucet by faucet. That way, a freeze won't kill your plumbing, but you don't have to get the pink stuff out of the lines before the rig is usable.
First: On my coach I found that if I dump it in the fresh tank. Turns out the fresh tank never completly empties so unless you do something different (I did) you will have that******in there forever (I had to vacuum the dang tank out with a shop vac and a small line).
Next fall consider the dry method of winterizing. here are the 3 methods
1: Used it one time: Wet method, you know all about that including how hard it is to flush that******out of the lines.
2: Dry method; Blow the lines out with air, In fact do it several times, I opened ALL faucets and low point drains, blew till no more water came out, Let the air compressor recharge while I took a break and did it again, and again and again and again and. Well you get the idea 10 or 15 times as I recall till I no longer got water out. Over time I closed the faucets indoors I also drained the water heater before I did this and again after each blow. (I put a valve line in to make it easier, you can remove the valve line after you are done and put the regular plug back in).
Finally I put pink stuff in the traps and drains and toilet.. True I flushed the pink out come spring, but hey.. You flush the toilet .. In the normal manner.. And the drains are "Fulshed" by first use, no work required.
if the air ever freezes,, I am not going to worry about the RV
some folks warn about water remaining in the lines even after multiple blow outs. True, some does, not enough to worry me though.
What I use today: The "S" method
