Hi I am looking at fifth wheel trailers but honestly except for the Drv Mobile Suites and the Carriage line i have no idea what else I should be looking at. Would appreciate any Input from people who know. I want an all season trailer that is built to the same standards and quality of the Drv. Someone has mentioned the Monicos but I have no idea if they are in the same league.
thanks Chris

Try Excel, NuWa, Lifestyle (former Carriage employees?) and Redwood. Don't have one, but many people on these forums like them. A discussion of quality can be subjective, since you really can't see behind the walls once it's built. Also, some people mistake visible bling for quality IMHO. Just because its pretty and has good quality fixtures doesn't mean its well constructed. Good luck.

I have a new Lifestyle trailer, I had a Cameo by Carriage before, the Lifestyle is built like a Cameo with several improvements.

Landmark gets my Vote. I own a 2013 Landmark and they now have a 2 yr warranty plus a 5 yr structural warranty. Nice High End Unit.

You`re going to have a hard time finding anything that compares with DRV...perhaps a Carriage Carri Lite. The mobile Suites have 3.25 inch thick walls...most others are 2 inches thick.

It really depends how much cold air leaks past the slide seals. Some have not been very good for high end models.

I don't know how far it would be for you, but you could take a tour of the Nu-Wa factory in Chanute, KS.

Not yet mentioned is the only 5er to get a 5 star rating from the RV Consumer Group New Horizons.
Now, as you might expect, these are not cheap. The rating is based on the fact that they are considered the best built, their "glitz" and "styling" may be a little below a couple of the ones already listed, but their construction quality is not.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

KZSPREE320 has a good starting list of current product. Have not actually seen a Lifestyle yet. I would add that there are some good deals on RV Trader in the high end trailers. Life happens and many have to give up their well maintained dream rig due to health issues. I would add Newmar to the list on used units. Randu

It would be hard to get any better than a New Horizons Majestic. They are located in Junction City KS. I would have one if I could afford it.
