Wanted to pay it forward for the many here that gave us tremendous insight over the past 4 months in hopes of benefiting those who are considering joining our lifestyle. So, we decided to do a post on our transition answering as many questions I could think that I have seen stream across this site on “how we did/do it” as RV’ers on the road. How much does it run us a month? What kind of mpgs? Best tips? How many miles per day? How often do you switch parks? What are your go-to RV websites? What are your plans next? What do you miss?

For the full-time RV ‘vets’, probably not too much to learn, but more geared toward those weighing the option to explore full-timing soon. So, here is a simple look by two simpletons who took on the adventure without any experience here..

Sad to say, time to sell to a good home.

Excellant information, thanks for sharing. We are planning full timing in about four years.

Hi,

Perhaps this site may lower your camping costs?

Free is good, unless they don't have elec in the Summer time , cause we are sans a generator.

Hi,

Some of them do have electric and are free. Mostly in small towns which you seem interested in. Some are as low as $5.00 with good thirty amp power.

Could your journey be accomplished without selling your S&B? Not the part about needing the sale money to travel, but by having, or keeping your home base, could your travels have been the same?

We would like to travel upon retirement, but want to keep our home base. Do you see any advantages?
