On mine, a line run along (through)the upper edge of the cover hooks over the awning supports on either end, does not actually attach to the awning itself. The lower edge hangs loose.
Smokedummy's looks nicer - with mine the cloth tends to wrinkle up in spots.
I was concerned, though, that high winds might blow off a PVC cover and crash into something like my neighbor's windows.

X2,is it really necessary to be scarcastic to someone looking for help?? I have covers on mine made by A@E and don't think there worth buying,after a few years there is some additional wear at the point that the attatch the covers also the paint is starting to flak. My old coach didn't have them and the awning looked new for ten years.

It's not all covered. The part that goes from the roll to the wall is still exposed. Need something to cover that part also. It is still exposed to the sun. Look at the last pitchure(view on top)
