Well put. For a fulltimer a must. We use our Splendide combo EVERY SINGLE DAY, Handy as heck.

I have better things to do than do laundry EVERY SINGLE DAY.

It's a very simple question for full timers. Would you have a house without a washer and dryer?

Sure if I wanted to use the space for something else and there were W/D's to use in the neighborhood.

For the amount the W/D is used to us they are not worth having. My wife has a Jewelry business and needs the space, she also loves clothes!

W/D adds weight and takes too long.... We go to laundy every two weeks and get it done in about two hours.... Doing in our old unit a few times and we realized laundry is almost every day to keep up with small loads and long dry time.... To us it's a waste of time and bother - not to mention the regular messin' around in the 5vr while doing the wash - much better dealt with at the laundry.

If the W/D breaks at the laundry they will fix it, if we have one and it breaks we fix it.

I agree, every two weeks and spend a few hours and it is done. Actually we have enough clothes and linens that we can go 3 weeks easily. So every 3 weeks we spend 10-$12 and 2-3 hours on laundry.

I would say we spend no more than $200 per year on laundry, that is probably high.

Works for us!

Public Laundromats are not more economical at home. I don't think they become more economical at a CG just because you are in a RV?
They maybe more convenient at a Campground but not compared to the unit in my rig.

I love to have the W/D on board because......I can. I don't try to justify them or anything else based on cost, or I wouldn't have a generator, ice maker, probably wouldn't even have a camper. None of it makes financial sense.

Its all just toys.

Well it is a lot of time out of our day. Probably close to 8 minutes. Put it in dirty and it comes out clean and dry a couple hours later...or when we arrive at our destination.

I totally agree. Love the convenience.

I agree, if I want something I will get it. It probably would be nice to have but the wife really likes the storage space for her jewelry components.

I don't mind being the pack mule for the laundry.

I gave an estimate of what I thought we spend on using the park laundry but that has nothing to do with having a W/D.

We have a stacked Kenmore washer and dryer in our 36 footer, and have used it to our advantage. Dryer does take a little longer, since it is only 110 volt. We love them!
