on Florida TurnPike the Toll booths charge me for 4 axles When pulling Toad. If I get the SunPass how will electronic reader know I'm pulling Toad? When I mount 2 bikes on rear of Class'A' the license plate is blocked but the TOAD plate still shows. What will happen to charge me correctly? I don't want to get in trouble.

What happens when
I pull my boat or trailer?
When pulling a boat or trailer, an adjust-
mententry to your prepaid account will
be made in SunPass lanes for the extra
axles after the original transaction occurs.
If you pull additional axles on a daily
basis, you will need a commercial account.

If you have the transponder and the liscense plate listed on the account it shouldn't be an issue, they go off of your plate number if they can't read the transponder.

I have heard others complain that the machines mess up, but the axle counting devices used by both our EZ-pass and Sun Pass have always been on the money and know when we have the trailer hooked up or not.

Why even travel the $$ Turnpike in the 47 miles of Miami area that has no toll booths.

I have had no problem going North and back the last 13 years without getting on it. No tolls on US27 or US41 to I75.

We're not retired yet, and travel to the Keys on vacation. The Turnpike is the fastest and least stressful route from I95 to the Keys. Someday soon we will be able to take the time to enjoy the journey as much as the destination, but not quite yet.

Again...If the electronic reader can only read my TOAD license...will I only be charged for 2 axles instead of 4 ?

Maybe, call them? 888-toll-fla.

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

I have the toad and the MH both registered on my SunPass, we live in FLA 6 months out of the year, and when traveling in the MH and pulling the Toad I move the transponder to the MH, and it has never ever had a problem computing the correct amount, it reads 4 axles, if the toad is not connected it reads 2 axles. I would just go on line and make sure that both the toad and the MH were registered on your SunPass.
