Usual amount of them on the Texas roads. I am happy to see RVs because it means people feel confident to do something else than stay at home.

I think they are all on hwy 50 here in Colorado. It seems that Rvs way out number cars on this beautiful highway.

Out west, it doesn't matter how bad the economy is, or what the cost of fuel is, if it's hot, RV's head for the coast to enjoy the cool coastal temps.

korbe,

The very pleasant summers without needing A/C is why we choose to live on the shore of Lake Michigan. Also that the winters are much warmer since the stored deep lake's heat rises which then blows on us than other areas of this latitude or inland. Lake is cool by spring and acts like A/C during the summer and the process repeats itself every year and has for the many centuries. It's the very welcome nature of the beast! Only a sweatshirt is needed most of the winter here. Also one of the reasons the huge Gerber Baby Foods, Kelloggs, and the many other food processing operation are based and make their products here. Very high quality apples, peaches, apricots, fantastic cherries, big blueberries, plums, grapes, asparagus, etc all over the region. Wineries galore and very highly rated!

They sure are. We just went from Texas to Colorado and back and I was quite surprised to see so many RVs on the road going to/from and in Colorado. We had a great time there.

There sure wasn't a shortage of RVs when I was in Co. I had the CG reservation phone numbers on speed dial and called at the earliest time and still missed out a lot of times. It's probably still the same way. Az. is different - a lot of tents, small TTs and pop-ups and not so many larger hard side RVs but the CGs get still get packed. I think Iowa is very low on RVs per capita. None of my relatives or friends have them. Plus, everybody had to keep their noses to the grindstone and rarely vacationed when I was on the farm. Craig
