Congrats Swanin! When we cleaned out our Class A we were shocked. We still love our B. I will keep my eyes open, and if I see a couple who are having a great time driving their B, I will wave:-)

We "right-sized" this year to a 2003 PW Excel TS from 11 years in a 29' class c. We love the widebody with the permanent bathroom

What a beauty!! Congratulations!

We bought our used B in December 2010 ... Best Christmas gift EVER. Each trip, we take less nonessential stuff. It is so liberating to have fewer things to deal with, and you will really love the ability to arrive and depart a campsite so quickly.

We're now up to spending at least three months a year traveling in the van. Who knows what 2013 will bring...four months, five?

Be sure to keep posting as you get into it. We'll be interested.

Congratulations.

Just a note that thermal management is a lot more critical in a B because of the small size.

The good news is things like furnaces, AC are a lot more powerful relative to the size and demand.

I am trying to deal with my thermal issues now and have the following ideas.

- The foil like bubble wrap used for duct insulation. I am going to craft a set that can be placed on the inside of the windows for keeping heat in.

- Placed on the outside of the windshield / window (secured by wipers and some ties back inside, that serves to keep heat out.

Oh... you be amazed how little stuff you can live with!

Safe travels.

This is going to be such a long week! I can't wait for Friday to get here so we can bring our B home. I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much (again) for all your comments, encouragement, congrats AND the great tips and advice. Looking forward to "right-sizing" (I love that) and being part of the B Community.

.

SwanInWA ,

Congratulations ! Now get a copy of the IKEA catalog - a lot of their items can be used in an RV .
