One other outside possibility...
When you fill your tank, are you filling it via the "city water" input and putting the valve in "Fill Tank" position?
I ask because I did this once, and it seemed that once the tank was full, there was some kind of weird cross-contamination between that and maybe the gray water tank.
I drained my fresh tank, hit it with 1 cup of bleach, let it set, and then ran it through all lines, drained tank, and refilled.

No problems since, and I don't fill my tank that way anymore, I only use the gravity fill port.

X2 above. Also, any water that enters you RV should be filtered to keep out foreign matter.

Wow again great feedback. I guess I need to be more descriptive too, as I left some information out of my original post. This coach that I bought has had several upgrades. So, I failed to tell you that it has been upgraded to with an Aqua Hot system. I could swear the previous owner had told me that he had upgraded the hot water heater too. The door with the screen has been bolted close, I'm guess the hot water tank is with the Aqua Hot diesel burner or in that area.

I did call my wife who is with the camper while I'm at work, and asked her to check for a "filter". Sure enough there is one tucked up high where the water pump is. So, my first job is to drain and replace that filter. Then do the bleach/vinegar/wine clean out. More to come!!

Lobstah and joelc, thanks for that bit. I had been filling with the city water connection, and had recently over filled the tank, so that could have been the problem as well. I have since started using the gravity fill spot.

Remove the filter, sanitize and do not install new filter until your issue is resolved. As others have mentioned, check under the sink for a charcoal filter.

If you have an AQUA HOT system.......water heater tank was probably removed/replaced with the Aqua Hot.

You are probably on the right track with the filter being the source.

But.........batteries when off gassing from overcharging can give off that rotten egg/sulfur smell. Might want to check your batteries just to eliminate them.

If you have Aqua-Hot, this is what they recommend:

Maximum Chlorine Concentration = 100ppm for one hour then drain and flush with potable water. (100ppm = 1/2 cup bleach in a 1 gallon solution for every 15 gallons.)

Recommended Chlorine Concentration = 50ppm for four hours then drain and flush with potable water. (50ppm = 1/4 cup bleach in a 1 gallon solution for every 15 gallons.)

It sounds like the water lines and hot water heater hot water heater have a problem Flush the hot water tank and change the rod if there is one. Flush the water system by pouring bleach into the water line and then allow the bleach to go through the system. Flush after getting bleach through all the lines.

exactly
the rotten egg smell is from the water heater , it forms from water sitting in it too long.
Happens to all water heaters - even home style ones .
