Thanks for the input everyone, so sad about the beagle. If we do get a p/u it won't be without also getting a cap for the back. At this time of the year though I think we will wait it out till next year as our camping season is probably finished for this year unless we do something off the cuff and it will probably be using the 2 car method again. Durango-tow, Saturn Ion-kids,bikes,gear. It works but definately not ideal.

We have always loved our full size E-350 Ford Van. Plenty of room for everything and everyone.

We have a truck with a cap on the back and we have never had our dogs travel back there. It gets hot in there and since most of our camping is done in the warmer months it would just not work out.

We only have two kids so the pup rides in the backseat with them. I would opt for the burb.

I know when we are ready for a new vehicle we will be going with an SUV.
