I agree that quality is an issue with many RV's, although I've been fortunate to have experienced virtually zero problems with my NuWa Hitchhiker (so far). My previous RV was a 1990 Fleetwood Flair motorhome in which I fulltimed for about 17 years. The quality was only fair but I made it work by taking good care of it and treating it gently. Previous to that was an '84 LazyDaze Class C. Quality was impeccable throughout. RV's aren't built to residential standards and have to be handled accordingly.
Someone mentioned vehicle quality. My last two vehicles, purchased new (a 1990 Chevy Astro Van and a 2000 Saturn) were NEVER back to the dealership for repairs. My new Dodge truck (see sig) has been to the dealer's numerous times for nitpicking problems with the emissions, although most of those issues have been addressed. The more complications on a vehicle the more problems to be expected.
