Getting new 245's Monday (for my truck) that I spoke to the dealer about yesterday morning. Saw the document from BFG that reimburses the deal $16.00/tire.

Sams Club says they can not help as they are not a dealer and are only a vendor? Will have to go to a dealer.
Absolute nonsense. My Sam's club replaced my tires under the recall, with Michelin X-Radial LT2's.
Initially they only wanted to replace the 2 tires I purchased at Sam's, not the 2 I purchased elsewhere in AZ as a result of a blowout. I reminded them this was a RECALL, not a tire warranty and they are different. They called Headquarters in AR and Sam's Club headquarters said they would replace the tires REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY WERE PURCHASED, and provide mounting, balancing and road hazard at no extra charge. Every Sam's club has been provided written instructions on how they handle the paperwork so that Sam's club gets their reimbursement. They don't work on trailers so you have to demount, and mount the tires yourself.
Again, it's a RECALL not a Warranty replacement. If you have problems with your local club, talk to the manager and have them call headquarters to verify what they are to do.

I'm a fulltimer on the road and moving.Don't have the time search and fight for the lucky score on some ribs.I just took what I feel was and upgrade from BFG to michelin and will be happy with that.

Two years ago I bought four new Michelin XPS Ribs from my ford dealer.I had them filled with nitrogen. I think they were $1200.00 for mounting and balancing and tax. The tire guy was happy that I had the level up on my trailer. I lifted all four wheels off the ground at the same time. I also have Michelin's on my dually and suv. All filled with nitrogen. Never had any problems with Michelin's,been using them since I bought my new 65 ford. When the original tires needed to be replaced the Michelin's went on.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Just arrived in waterloo iowa,390 miles towed today and I can report the michelins feel every bit as stable as the BFG's.Just thought it may alieve some doubt.I'm pulling a 40' 5er and they feel great.

I went that route also and am sure it will be a good upgrade. The Michelin LTX MS'2 have another ply under the thread, 5 vs the BFG's 4, and I needed them last week. Ribs were scarce around here.

Stopped by Discount Tire this PM to trade out my BFG's under the recall program. Upon checking inventory no BFG's in stock has 2 Michelin LTX's and said the distributor showed them in stock, so set up appointment for next Monday morning. Suggested the Ribs, but they said they were $100 more per tire and no dice. Will see what they are going to put on next week.

Here's a link to the instructions received by the dealers:
BFGoodrich Tire Recall
As you can see, Michelin XPS Rib is available as a replacement tire.

Yes, but it does say limited availibility. Here they were not available unless I waited and we have places to be. My LTX's are doing fine.
