When our Y-4100 grows up, I hope it turns into an S-238. Sorry.

Thanks everyone. Not sure where I heard the rumor about Palominos. Bought a Jayco Kiwi. Only one trip but we like it a lot.

Thanks again

We just bought a Palomino 21sl 2000, last week. Everything checks out good according to my good RV friend. The slide out does have a soft spot but you only notice it from the outside. The underneath consists of left side, tractor and the right side. The left side towards the front is where it's soft. Not the whole section but a 8inch by 8 inch section. I got this camper on the cheap and I knew it had this problem. What I'm going to do is, remove the jack knife couch and pull up the linoleum, replace the wood and spongy stuff and seal. The black laminate underneath is still there. Anyone else have any other suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks

I had a 2001 S-21, the front bunk door leaked when driving in the rain, even after changing the screw type latches to the newer lock bar type. Ended up rebuilding to front bunk door. I think the problem was the piano hinge that was letting the water get by. See the bulge at the bottom of the bunk door.

I have a brand new S-238 that does leak a bit along the front bunk hinge when driving in a hard rain. My TV is a pick up with a tonneau bed topper which is directly aligned with the camper hinge. This creates a clear high pressure air stream right on the hinge. I am in the process if doing the duct tape and clear vinyl mod across the hinge to see see if that solves the problem. It isn't a major issue at this point but could lead to major damage if not resolved ASAP.
