We have had three different motorhomes, a class C and 2 class A units. Each of them has been comfortable to drive, but I later experience a lot of shoulder and neck pain for a few days after a long trip. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do you happen to have any remedies?

You are likely allowing Yourself to become dehydrated! Drink plenty of water and take more frequent breaks.

take your arm off the window edge and check your posture for slouching every once in a while . Noticed this when I first started driving tractor trailers. Never happened to my right side always the left kept my arm off the window sill on long trips and it didn't happen. JMHO

It happens to me when I drive with my shoulders too tense. I have to keep reminding myself to relax. It still get occurs on the first day driving after being parked for a while or when driving in dense traffic. Bob

It is easier to tell someone to relax their grip on the wheel then to actually do it. If your coach wanders so much that you have to have a death grip on the wheel, I would get the coach fixed first and then see if that relieves your pain.

I found the lumbar setting on the seat effects my back and shoulders, also my tumb tends to lock up after 10 to 15 days of driving. Other then that I just don't give anyone the thumbs up anymore. Bill

We're on our 5th RV, 3 gassers and 2 diesels. You may not want to hear this but the only real answer is Comfort Drive. There is no way I can overstate just how much of an upgrade this feature is. If more people knew just how good this system works the market would force every manufacturer to offer it. Unfortunately, not enough RV'ers know just how well it works.

I have very bad arthritis in my neck (they have a name for it), along with the retired truck driver's normal aches and pains. Get your self a Carex Bed Buddy Body Wrap. When you get where your going and get hooked up, just throw it in the microwave and then arround your neck. Love mine. It really helps relieve the pain quickly.

I also use Capzasin Quick Relief Gel.

And while going down the highway, I once in a while talk my better half into rubbing my neck. But that doesn't do much except offer immediate relief that goes away quickly.

And it has nothing to do with a grip on the steering wheel, but more likely all those years of not having power steering in a Freightliner , Kenworth, and White Road Boss.

I was thinking you can't stop getting old. It happens to all of us.
