Not with the mh have we forgotten anything. That said we decided at the last minute to go camping one time and didn't think to pack anything. The worst thing I have forgotten was on an emergency trip from Wa to Ca. We got about 125miles down the road when I realized I didn't have my wallet. No license or debt card. Called credit union and transferred the money to another account and just went for it.

Hahaha...that's the benefit to being a fulltimer...I would have to forget the whole "house" to leave anything behind. Now, where did I park that thing???

This thread has me worried.

We are leaving in a week for the first long trip this year. The kids have outgrown all their camping clothes from last year (we just repack the RV after doing laundry). I can just see my son trying to put under underwear that is 3 sizes too small.

Mobi (our Class C) is our emergency back up, we live in earthquake country, so we try to keep it stocked for at least 3 days at all times. Food, water, clothing etc.

Real RV'ers don't need a list. DW says if we don't have it we don't need it. Guess we're not real RV'ers then. lol Got a food list goin right now. Hitting our favorite FSCG next week to beat the Labor Day weekend rush.

In June we went to Yellowstone. For three weeks prior to leaving I had packed everything I needed and was just itching to go. We get to YNP then upon seeing wolves at a distance I go to pull out my spotting scope. Oh. It's not there! Doggone it! I had repacked a few days before because I had a nice large plastic case to place my equipment in. I forgot to pack the scope. We drove from the Canyon campground to the Old Faithful area to get cell service (T-Mobile doesn't work out at Canyon) to call my DD. Took a while to reach her but when we finally did we had her Fed-Ex the scope to us at Canyon CG. Told her to ship it overnight then went back and waited. Luckily she was wise enough to change it to standard delivery when they told her it would be close to $400.00 overnight and $70.00 standard four day delivery. So we were without the scope for about five days. But.......I had met a gentleman through the internet who was out there at the same time as us. We'd been communicating for over a year about Yellowstone etc. He happened to take several spotting scopes with him with the intention of giving us two of them. He told me that because of his age he most likely won't be camping much longer and wanted us to have them knowing that we'd be using them for several years more. What a guy. We hung out together for a week then he headed back home. He refused to take any money for the scopes saying that that's what friends do. He liked my homemade beef jerky so I will be sending him some from now on. So yes I totally forgot something, but in the process learned a good life lesson about the goodness of people.

I have 4 lists now before we leave. This last time, DH said," You don't have to be my mommy, I'll take care of packing my own stuff." We get to the campground and he says," You're gonna yell at me, but I forgot to pack underpants"! He had to wear a pair of mine on our last day! Back to using lists!

I use a 99 cent spiral bound book from the Dollar Store for lists and other things pretaining to our camper. Through the years, I've created a detailed "master list" of things to pack. There's a "closing up the house list" so we remember items easily forgotten before we leave - like shutting off the water softener, letting neighbors know etc. We refer to this book religiously because I see no reason to "re-invent the wheel" every time.

Nothing that couldn't be bought at the wally which seems to alot. When I was 11 or 12 though my grandparents left my bag in the back of the truck. I spent a entire week in 100 degree Branson heat with the same clothes.. too cheap to buy me any!
