We are planning our fall trip and may make it to Vancouver, BC in mid-september. I did a quick look and found Golden ears, but it appears it closes down on Sept 1. Can anyone recommend a nice CG in or near Vancouver? Plus how is the border crossing from Seattle to Vancouver and back into the USA?
We went into Canada 2 years ago from Glacier thru Waterton and up to Lake Louise. Then back into the USA thru Kings Gate.
Yes we know to bring our passports, Canadian insurance certificates for the MH, dog records with up-to-date vaccines and no guns. All medications in original bottles.

Golden Ears is open year round, I think you can't reserve after Sept 1. It isn't overly close to Vancouver but it is a nice CG. The closer you get to the city the more the CGs look like parking lots with permenant RVs

We're taking our small dog with us. Can we take her on the train? Don't want to leave her behind at the CG locked away.

The closer you are to Vancouver, the busier the border crossings.

There is the mentioned Burnaby Cariboo RV park and one almost in downtown Vancouver called Capilano River RV Park. There are two sky train stations near Burnaby RV park, a great way to get around. The Capilano RV park is convenient to buses.
If you look on google earth when nearing Blain from the south on #5 I recommend the Pacific border crossing on #543. Once across the border head north on 176
st. can also be called #15, to #1 trans Canada hwy west. If going to Burnaby Caribou RV park take the Galardi Way exit. Once on Galardi way then an immediant right turn onto Caribou road, watch for it as you are only on Galardi way for a couple of hundred feet. Then take the first left you will shortly go under an underpass, then the first right. Watch for the signs coming of hwy one.
I recommend the 176 st route as easier getting to either park unless you don't mind driving though the city.
The Capilano RV park stay on #1 into North Vancouver, take the Capilano Rd turn off then left or south onto Capilano Rd, follow the signs.
Capilano has a noisy bridge beside it, and Burnaby has a railway, take your pick. I have not stayed at these parks but used to live down that way and have been past them both.

Golden ears is a nice place to camp but not a good place to see Vancouver from. you'd be 60-90 minutes each way to down town outside of rush hour (6am-930am and 1PM to 630PM).
Burnaby Caribou is good as well as Capilano. Both are City parks meaning less space but full service.
As for dogs, nope. Skytrain and transit don't allow pets. You'd need a TOAD. Do NOT take Lions Gate Bridge with your RV. Narrow lanes and would be a total scary experience. Transit buses do it every day but I'd never ever ever try it in my MH.
Perhaps call Caribou and ask about pets all day, they may have a doggy daycare near that could accomodate??? you can't be the first people to need that....

We've stayed at Capilano RV twice on business in Vancouver.Very easy to catch a bus at Park Royal mall.Ten minute ride into the city over the Lions Gate bridge.
You are a 5 minute walk to a dog beach along Ambleside.Lots of walking. If you want to take your dog into the city, order a cab and take a ten minute trip to Stanley Park, one of the largest urban parks in North America.Great seawall hike into the middle of shopping area.Or walk across Lions Gate bridge for fine shots of the harbour and ocean(30 minutes into Stanley Park). This RV park is very popular with the European RV rental crowd.
We have a dog and found it quite convenient to stay here.

Thats us with the canoe on top.
