Any good places between Greensboro & Rockingham on I-73/74 (RT 220).
Looking for a place to pull in for the night that has Elec & Water.
Wife won't do Wally World and the CG's around the Zoo were a little
tight the last time I tried. Need something not to far off the road and easy to get in and out of.

About 5 miles south of Greensboro on RT 220, you'll come to Hagan Stone Rd. Turn right heading west and drive approximately 2+ miles to Hagan Stone Park on the right (north side). While in the corporate limits of Pleasant Garden, NC, it's owned and operated by the City of Greensboro. Water & electric with dump station and 2 comfort stations. $20 per/night with a few $'s off for a senior rate. As you enter the campground of the park, check the bulletin board on the left to see if the large open area up front has been reserved for a rally. Other sites are also available. I was there for a month at the beginning of summer. Had a vintage VW Westfailia rally one weekend and a blue grass festival 2 weeks later. Enjoyed my stay and would return.

On edit: Hagan Stone Park

Hi,

RV parks here in central NC are kinda sparse. Here is a thread from June. One guy ran into wood roaches at Hagenstone...I'm not too interested in going there now!
Clicky to thread

I don't know how much time you have. A 'scenic' route south would be to take I-85 south to Thomasville and pickup 109 towards Troy. Uwharrie National Park is about 45 minutes from Thomasville. Arrowhead Campground and Badin Lake CG are there. They are about 10 minutes from 109 down mainly paved roads. Each campground has about a mile of gravel road to get to them. Arrowhead had water/electric sites; Badin has no utilities on sites, but several there are lakeside. If you are interested, PM me. These are our favorite CG's. You could then continue SE down 109 and other roads to 73.
