Hi, I just purchased a 25' Coachman travel trailer knowing that it had several issues I will need to address. One issue is only half the interior lights work. All breakers and fuses are proper. Some previous owner had unhooked a red power wire underneath the trailer near a wire connection. I reconnected the wire and put in a good 12 volt battery but the light still are not working. Could I have a defective power convertor? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Unlikely that it's your converter. If half the lights(12V) are working along with the water pump, fridge, furnace, then somewhere along the circuit, one of the wires has become disconnected. Take another real close look at the 12V fuses, check them with an ohm meter, they should have a 0 reading. I know on my trailer, all interior 12V lights and the outside door light run through one fuse only. Fridge, water pump, furnace and range hood fan/light have their own fuse. There are 2 spares, one used for a 12VDC outlet.
I would check the rear of the light switches for loose/disconnected wires and also under the light fixtures. Sometimes a little tug and shake will find the culprit.

Aaaaaa, first see if those lights have bulbs in them and the bulbs are not burned out.

You may have to drop all the light housings looking for a wire that's come off, could be on a working or a non working light as they will likely be daisy chained.

About 1/3 of mine didn't work when I got it. Good bulbs and voltage to the fixture. Only thing left is the switch in the fixture. Bought new lights on Amazon for about $7 each.

Yes, the red wire. I connected the red wire and with the good battery, I have lights, water pump and radio. I am not sure why it would have been disconnected. I haven,t hooked to my truck since making the repairs so hopefully no issues.
