All depends on what the little black partiles look like. Were you having trouble with the transmission before?

4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Common... black rust particles from the dipstick/dipstick tube. I haven't had it because of our extreme dry climate but have read about it.

I used to have specks all over my dipstick on my E4OD, haven't paid attention to my current 06 tranny. Yes, the long tubes cause dirt to accumulate.
