Anyone have a wiring diagram for the Flextsteel 6 way power seat(1999 DSDP)?
I just replaced the seat on the pedestal after doing the flooring and everything worked fine until I swiveled the seat. No power after that and it is fully forward so makes entry exit a bit awkward.

I did find a red wire that seemed to have been pulled out of a splice (compared to the drivers seat switch) but putting it back didn't do anything.

I also found a badly frayed wire (blue) and am wondering if I may have shorted a fuse somewhere, but can't find a fuse for just the passenger seat (drivers works fine).

Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Chris

Little doubt you blew a fuse. You need one of these in your tool boxes. Can be found for a few bucks or more. 12 volt test light

Compare the good one to the broken one and then chase the wire that should be hot which is probably the red one. Check your fuse panels using the same test light. Check each side of the fuses. Might be an inline fuse in a panel next to the passenger. When you check the wires for voltage check both sides of the connectors. Might not be making contact once you plugged it back in.

I had the same problem...a wire had pulled out from under the seat when the chair was turned. Be sure you checked ALL the wires.

Thanks, i think the light is good, might be easier to see than the meter.
As to other wires being off I'm afraid I'll have to remove the seat again. PIA because of the cable that releases the catch for the swivel.

thanks

Found the problem after stripping the cable protector and the electrical tape. The power wire was just pulled out of the connector, planning to splice in a few inches so this wont happen again.

OTH still don't know what the loose red wire is for, the seat works fine with or without it spliced into the orange power wire on the seat switch itself. Suspect it still may have something to do with the non-functional air bags for the lumbar support.

Thanks

Chris
