I ofen wondered does it matter if the airride is on the pin box or the truck axles? I went with the truck I use it all the time and the camper only when towing.

On our rig we have a Reese's 5th Airborne. Rides great, no air leaks and maintenance issues. On the trailer we have the center point air suspension which make the trailer's ride nice, a lot less jostling around. Then on the truck I use airbags for leveling the truck and it gives a great ride loaded but unloaded? That's another story, even at 5lbs. the truck rides rough. So I guess you could say I have air all around.

Full timing isn't "always camping". It's a different life style living in an RV.

5th Airborne on our Montana. Added it a year after we bought the trailer. Smoothed the ride for the trailer and truck. Well worth the money, IMHO.
By the way, Montana Rally doesn't mean it is in the state of Montana. It means a rally for Montana owners, held at various locations during the year.

Compare the two side by side, The TrailAire is a much better design for a better ride. The Airborn has a very short throw from center of airbag to pivot point. Also if you have a short bed truck with the TrailAire you should not need a slider.

I have an air ride pin box and airbags on my truck. The airbags on the truck are used for leveling it only. They don't seem to change the ride loaded or unloaded, at all. The air ride pin box makes a big difference in how it rides. You could get the same thing with an air ride fifth wheel setup.
