To the OP, If you mean that trolling is looking and commenting on the threads? then Why have this site?
Aren't we all looking for feed back to our inquiry? Or should we not say anything? Be it negative or not? I believe the Moderators created rules for us to follow and As I have seen, if they are broken then the thread gets shut down.

Yes, I have some negative comments sometimes, A question has multiple answers,, (Really)?
YES, we are all individuals!! And sometimes we do things differently, OR alike? And allot of these threads ask opinions to see if and how other people do things or feel about things.
But yesterday (Last night) I surf a thread about trolls reading forums and commenting sometimes in a negative way and they are called TROLLS???
I have learned allot here and have made some really good Modifications to my trailer. I have also passed along things that HAVE and HAVE NOT worked for me...

This has turned into fun as well as hearing some worth while perspectives. Seems like the OP's troll showed more insight than I thought.

It is both interesting and useful to hear, briefly, what does bother others as few of us actually wish to annoy. Sometimes one's style offends or annoys despite that we intend the opposite. I have pulled out of groups because of complaints that I post too much detail or try to become too technical but that is simply an attempt to make the post and thread more useful. Often the people who know, know but the learning curve is too steep for those who do not know.
In this sense, it can be very useful if one simply tries to explain both the context and basic theory of what is being discussed. I spent 20+ years teaching in the mechanical trades (colleges) and found over and over on these web groups that so many people who do not understand the systems under discussion are actually far more knowledgeable about the subject at hand but simply don't know how their knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology, etc. applies. A bit of explanation often allows one to sit back and absorb for more information that one might ever have expected.
A polite dispute about the accuracy of a post has often been hugely informative.

While there are plenty of discussions that will get out of hand and usually shut down, those that I'm guessing you think are run by Trolls are people trying to get a point across, founded or not.
If you have a troll list going, block them and move on

The problem with the definition of troll by some is a troll is considered anyone who isn't on board with the most popular answer, or who gives advice contrary to what the OP wanted to hear. Those are not internet trolls. They are regular people giving their take on a topic and if it isn't the popular vote, they must be a troll (as some will say).
SO silly. In those cases I just see it as people not too timid to give their own take on a topic. The true definiteion of a troll is one who creates controversial threads, then sits back to watch the mayhem ensue, then adds fuel to the fire when needed. Luckily we do not see a lot of that here.
