Not to sound piggish, but we only allow dogs and cats at our parks. We would not allow a pot bellied pig, pigs are considered livestock. We also do not allow exotic pets. If a pet stays inside 24/7 and does not make any noise, we can live with don't ask/don't tell. But a pig will have to go outside, so we will not allow them. Unfortunately, we have to take a hard line on these kind of issues. Hope that doesn't completely burn your bacon.

How many parks do you own and are they all in the same state? Just want to be sure I never get a site or pay you money for your attitude.

X2!!!! What westernrvparkowner had to say could have been said a lot more professional.

This subject has been brought up before and he would/could not supply a list of what he claims to own. He simply wants you to give him your info so he can so called put you on the do not rent to list LOL. I am sure this will end in a similar way.
Y'all need to get over yourselves and grow up. Quit the jabs, pokes and one-upmanship comments. Counterproductive and rude.
I have actually seen more than one potbellied pig in my travels. Like others have suggested, check with each campground. Keep in mind there may be zoning laws that prohibit anything other than "domestic" pets, which are generally dogs and cats. And as far as Westernrvparkowner goes, his campground, his rules. Ya don't like it, move on. The only thing I would suggest as a camper is equal enforcement, not "don't ask don't tell" which is very unfair to those who abide by the rules. It either is or it ain't, not maybe depending on your mood.
Not camping right now but I'd love to meet your pig!

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.

I want to be on his list so he can remind me at the gate.
WhyFly? wrote: Wow, I thought people who visited the RV Pet Stop forum would be animal lovers like me. Pot Bellied pigs are not farm pigs, they are pets. They get vaccinated and get vet care just like a dog. They are clean and intelligent. Mine even does tricks! They are not meant to be eaten. However, I do enjoy bacon and pork from a farm pig, just wouldn't eat my pet.
Thanks for the real advice from those who gave it, much appreciated!!
Many of the people who posted what they thought was humorous are not regular posters here on this part of the Pet Stop forum. I'm sorry for their behavior, but online you will find some people who act like they don't have good sense. Unfortunately you have seen a few here already, at least it's easy to figure out who they are.
I'm sure your pet is well cared for and much loved. If you want to travel with your pet, I think you will find places that will accept her. It may take some effort on your part, but you will find some.

I would really enjoy camping next to someone with Pot Bellied Pig. People are rather insensitive when it comes to his type of thing. For example, we own house rabbits which also make great pets. They're litter box trained, intelligent, etc. but it never fails when someone sees our pet to make a stupid comment about tonight's dinner or a lucky rabbits foot. I want to say "wow, never heard that one before!" or something like that. It gets old. I'm sure you hear the same about your pig. The best advice I can say is to check with the campground first but don't plan on it. People are not very open minded.
We have been fortunate enough to have traveled with large dogs,(Great Dane, English Mastiff) and if I had a nickel everytime someone made a crack about putting a saddle on my dog- I would own my own campground! BTW: If I did own a CG-ALL well-behaved creatures would be welcome!
