Has anyone ever RV'd with a pot bellied pig? We have a new Class A Motorhome and would like to travel with our pig, Stella. She's clean, trained, and quiet.

Any advice?

Now that just ain't right.......

Update: Sorry I didn't realize this was the poster's first post. I thought someone was joking. Certainly did not mean to offend with my comment.

I agree with the suggestion to check with CG's to see if they will permit it. Also, what kind of health certificates, etc would you need when crossing state lines? Are there any requirements for pigs - like you need proof of rabies for dogs?

I'd call a couple of CG's and ask if they accept pigs first. And since there is an outbreak of a new strain of swine flu that is contagious from pig to human.......no, I don't think you will be getting into too many CG's with a pig any time soon.

I think this might be appropriate on many levels also.

I would rather the person next to me had a pig than SOME that have had dogs.

Of course, you would need to clean up after it just like you are suppose to with a dog.

Sure would be a conversation starter.

Welcome to the RV Pet Stop Leslie!

We were visiting Kerrville, TX about 8 years ago and there was a couple with a LARGE pot bellied pig at the RV Park where we were staying. They had a 5th wheel with a ramp for the pig and it was quite a sight to see that pig waddle up and down that ramp. That pig was friendly, quiet for the most part, and you could tell it was well loved.

I like bacon as much as the next person... but I doubt the original poster would consider eating their pet, any more then we would one of ours.

Let's play nice and welcome a new member.

Wow.... I wonder if people would think it was funny if I posted pics of dogs being sent to slaughter in Asia? I'm just asking. I can do it, if that would "amuse" dog owners or make them feel welcome.

Pretty flippin' rude and not very funny at all.
