Sounds like the issue should be with the RV Tech.
The RV tech screwed up in more ways than one - starting with not thoroughly reading the install instructions, which call out the LEDs. I'm cutting my losses by bypassing him and fixing it myself. The antenna actually works fine without the idiot lights of the signal meter.
My problem is that I'm in Sequim, WA for 2 weeks. When I ordered it I told the person not to overnight it as the part isn't critical and I won't be home. Yes, they most likely overnighted it - and now I have to call a neighbor to pick it up and hold it for me.
I ASSume that when I give shipping instructions that people actually listen.
The enclosure base is about 7"L x 5"W x 2"H. It could have been wrapped in bubble wrap and easily mailed in a USPS Priority Mail box and it would have shipped fine. We all know that the USPS needs more business.
What really was behind my rant is the poor attitude of the person at King Controls who took my call. There was absolutely no point in me chastizing this person as their brain was out to lunch. Pounding sand would have been more productive. This person sounded like they're trying to coast through the day and get their 8 hours without moving a muscle. If you're the voice of a company and you come across as lazy and uncaring to customers - in particular, me - then I'm going to talk it.
I believe this is part of the reason for Marcus' "Dear Marcus" forums - to help him find some of the dead wood within the org that he might not otherwise find, by having the customers air out the dirty laundry. Granted, doing that opens a whole other can of worms, but it comes with the territory.

Other than the customer service representative wouldn't lower his company's shipping charge what did they do to upset you? You have no idea how it was shipped. It may have very well been sent UPS two or three day, which is standard shipping for most businesses. If you don't want to pay shipping, hop into your car and go and pick it up yourself. You have a whole lot of anger directed to an individual who did nothing but take your order and then wouldn't cut the cost after the transaction was completed and the item was shipped. The time to complain and negotiate is before the transaction is complete. This is your fault. Just what did the guy do to earn your wraith? You mentioned he Yawned. I did not realize that was a fireable offense. Geez, if he sneezed instead, should he have faced a firing squad?

So you ordered it on the phone, talked to someone, they gave you a price, you gave them your CC #...
I have never ordered anything, either over the phone or online, where I was not told the exact amount my card would be charged, including shipping charges. This sounds rather strange...
