Just looked over the Deltran website trying to select a unit to charge the house batteries on our Born Free and saw that they are now offering solar powered units in 5-10-15 watt sizes. They also sell a small controller for use on other solar panels that is compatible with their chargers.
From the very little I know about solar units I would think that the Deltran units would be small for the job but would appreciate any thoughts or if anyone owns one of these how would you rate them. thanks mh

That's what I thought, the units are probably fine for keeping a stored unit's batteries fully charged but not big enough to recharge units in use while dry camping. thanks
15w would not be enough for even a stored unit unless the batteries were physically disconnected. There are enough "phantom loads" on most RV electrical systems that will drain the batteries over time even with a 15w solar panel.
