Just curious if and when and what manufacturers started using sprayed, closed cell foam insulation instead of fiberglass batts

Anybody know specifics and insulation trends on coaches?

I don't know any manufactures using closed cell. In fact I only know of 2 that even insulate with fiberglass.

Closed cell would be a dream.

My Coach if full of it and the whole underside has a tremendous amount of it. The walls are sandwiched type with foam.

Ultra Van switched from fiberglass batts to spray foam in 1968. The 1973-1978 GMC motorhomes all had spray foam.

My 2005 Monaco has 2" thick walls and 4" thick roof. All sandwich construction. Rear cap is insulated with batt.
