I tried a search but didn't find anything. I am looking for anyone who has removed the wall in the garage of the toy hauler or has installed a glass slider, I want to open it up and would love to see some pics if anyone has some also some ideas the hauler will be a 2006 36'Victory lane.

My only concern would be flexing, but if you're up to the task, by all means post lots of pics :-)

That is my concern also, I have a bunk bed above the opening I think I can use a steel header for the bed support but I don't know about the side to side flex. That's why I was wondering if anyone has done this with success.

If it were framed heavy enough... maybe.
Would be cool if you did a full on, no money barred, NASA style test to see if there were enough flex to worry about.
To me it sounds like a great idea, I would think "What's the worst that could happen?" A bunch of glass to clean up, then removal of project and replace with a wall again.
Then I guess it depends on your ability. If it were me, it would be 'No freaking way!' But if you're a general contractor or one with wherewithall to have confidence in such an undertaking, then go for it.

Might be possible if you can install a header over the opening. One of the reasons God invented sawsalls, for guys that just have to try things.

If you have a bunk you already have a header. Just reinforce it with a 2 x 6 and take out the 2 x 2 studs and wall. I was going to do it to my 5th but then I'd be looking at the DW all the time....

The wall in mine is definately not strong enough to be a structural component. I say get out the chainsaw and go for it.

This ia going to be my fall project. when the camping/riding season is finished. I will have to relocate my tv and stereo system it is located in the wall between the garage and living space.

I plan on putting the tv on a wall mount and rewire the stereo for surrond, also while im at it im going to pull a side panal and see what kind of insullation is there if any I think i'm up to the challenge, When I get started I will post pics.

One of the reasons we got rid of our old trailer (see sig) was that the trim on the wall between the living area and garage kept popping off the wall due to side wall flex. I image it would have been only a matter of time before the whole side wall collapsed if that garage / living wall wasn't there.

Seems like a lot of these toy haulers used to be big open haulers before they started adding private garages several years ago. I know some manufacturers like Gulfstream offer a split open wall that swings open which is really nice. Must not be too difficult. I love having it private when I need it and open when I choose.
