I am sure they didn't loan him any wheres near what the place is worth. and if they did or loaned him more..wellll. looks like another banking disaster is coming your way.Canadian banks would never do that.

I have my own Tiffin I got in June. My father liked mine so much he wanted one of his own. He liked the bath and a half model.

The 1964 Civil Rights act prohibits discrimination based on age. Therefore, being 86 has absolutely nothing to do with it and if the bank "did" cancel the loan due to the father's age, they would be opening themselves up to a huge lawsuit.
I'm with others... have the father resubmit the loan and leave the son out of it completely. The bank doesn't need to know that the son will be doing the driving. Once the loan is finalized, the father can "loan" out the mh to whomever he pleases as long as the insurance carrier will cover any licensed driver.

What sold me on it was all the pass through storage, cabinets, and amenities. It's a little more then the Georgetown but I think it is worth it. When I started on my quest for a new RV I never thaought I would end up with a Tiffin.I never even considered one until I saw one at a RV show and my wife really liked it. The 3 seat belts on the couch sold her on it. Once I get it I will keep everyone posted on if I made a big mistake or not. Hopefully I have many problem free years of enjoyment with it. Thanks for everyones input. Wish me luck.
I remembered you posting about ordering a new RV and found the above post. I am confused, did you order a new one and your dad ordered one also?

as i read his opening post I thought it sounded more like he was buying the RV for himself than his dad. Sounds like the bank thought the same thing.

Does Dad still have a current driver's license? If not the lender would have every right to cancel their verbal agreement on the RV loan. Also no loan is approved until the paper work is all signed and the check is issued. Will Dad be able to get insurance on the RV? My guess is the lender checked with their under writer and was told that insurance could be an issue for an 86 year old or the insurance premium estimate would place the purchaser in a debt to income ratio that the lender deems to be unsatisfactory.

the OP stated he bought his already last April and his dad liked it so much he wanted one of his own. Seems to me he should be able to buy whatever he wants irregardless of who is driving. He could hire a driver and have him/her insured.
I do think it's a bit weird he wants to get a new motorhome since you have one and you all seem to camp together though.
