Everyone i have posted this before but still have the same problem. I have no propane leaks, i moved all cleaning supplies, and it still goes off. the battery shows strong too. NOW answer methis..it only goes off at night, never in the day. its always after midnight when all is turned off. no drain on battery or anything. I have to turn off the breaker for the dc power and unhook the hot battery cable. wait alittle and it works again....help me.

It sounds as if your propane detector has gone bad. Mu unit went off at night or when the trailer was rolling. I changed it out, and it does not do it any more.
It is an easy fix and not too expensive (around $20).

The detector is 2 yrs old. this is a 2010 unit. If the detector is bad why does it only go off after midnight ??? looks like a bad detector would go off during the day also.

It would also be a CO2 detector perhaps. Are you running a generator or eating too much beans.

Ours will go off when the doors and windows are all closed up tight. The chemicals (fumes) in the paneling or plastics seem to set it off. We leave a vent open in the living room area and it doesn't go off.
Another thought --- Your rig may be 2 yrs old but the detector could be ancient.....manufacturers tend to buy in bulk and keep for years. For example, in our MH we found out the back up camera had been discontinued about 3 yrs before the rig was built.

Do you have a dog? something as simple as your dog farting while sleeping next to the propane detector will set them off.
