Here is a picture of my setup. The TT is a little higher in the front but the truck is level. I have no sway and the trailer pulls very well. I was going to go down to my last notch on the hitch but I think I am going to leave it alone. Opinions?

A "level" truck really doesn't mean anything as far as how well your weight distribution hitch is adjusted.

How does the front-end height or front axle load, with no trailer attached, compare with the front-end height or front axle load with trailer attached and weight distribution applied?

The front-end height is the same loaded or unloaded. I think I have the weight distribution hitch setup correctly as far as the spring bars are concerned. It's just the front of the trailer sits slightly higher than the back, but as you can see in the picture, not too much higher. It is almost level.

I think I would try it as is. Since the Surveyors are so low, if you find you are dragging your rear going out of driveway etc. you could drop down to the last notch on the hitch to lower the front / raise the rear. I'd try it first.

Looks great to me, (been towing since 1987). I really like how low the trailer is riding, much less wind resistance. While everyone seems to want raise their TT, I do everything I can to keep it close to the ground

I like that it is low as well. The storage facility where I store the TT has a steep driveway. The driveway is short, but it is wide. When I pull in and out of the facility, I drive across the driveway at an angle and I have not hit bottom yet.

The only thing that bothers me sometimes is the sewer hookups (I have 2) are very low. You just need to be careful.

The trailer tows very well with the torsion axles and I have never experienced any sway so I think I will leave things alone. I am a fire believer in "if its not broke, don't fix it" philosophy.

I think the only one to determine how it looks is the one whose butt is in the seat..

Pictures are deceiving at best and from the looks of it, it looks great to me..

I ended up lowering my hitch by one notch after the first year of towing my rig, and it made a definite improvement in it's handling. It's a tad nose down and that's all it took to take a 'good' tow to a 'great' tow for me anyway..

I do some things that are not what others say to do, yet I am satisfied with my setup and it's what works for me... If what you have is working, go with it and enjoy!

Seems Ok if it handles properly give it a try. That doesn't mean it couldn't be better though.

Most people that want to raise them go offroad. Like me I always camp off road. NEVER in a park for over 13 yrs. I hate the rules and cramped space. And all the good trail riding is out there as well. If you just travel and use parks low is good.
