Definitely. So then you wont end up like the guy up a few posts earlier that said "Y'all told me so" that had damage to his fender well. Blowing one of the China Bombs can and most likely will do damage.

The very 1st thing is to load up the RV with some supplies, pots and pans...bedding, food, drinks...get it in a "ready to camp in" condition. Then spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday night camp'n in your driveway. Try out all the systems in a controlled situation. Plug it in to your house.

Your neighbors may roll there eyes and say "There goes Marty acting strange again!" But don't worry about it!

When a shipyard launches a just built ship into the water for the first time...
after the shake down cruise and trying out all the systems. it comes back to the dock with a broom tied to the tallest mast.

It is notification to all watching that the vessel made a "clean sweep" on it's first trip out!

The best advice I can give is to buy a jug of 303 Aerospace Formula and use it regularly on all the ABS plastics, vinyl, rubber and tires, awning, graphics, etc. It holds off the effects of UV Damge due to it's SPF 40 rating, and acts as a sunscreen to protect everything. Nothing harmful such as Petroleum Distillates (which you should never use on your RV by the way!)

Keep up the maintenance, especially roof sealing and intrusion points such as lights, antennas, vents, where the front cap attaches to the RV, etc. You will never get a warning till after the water leak damage is already underway.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I would fill it with water and some bleach and go out and drive about 100 miles rt and come home to see if it leaked anywhere and flush the system, put 5 gal of H20 in the hold tank and about 2 in the sink for the grey water tank along with Thetford Aqua-Kem Liquid then you'll be ready to go and kknow how it feels to tow it.

then caulk all of the outside lights around the top and down each side a little. Use white silicone. Keeps the rainwater out of the electrical wiring.

Re-set up/verify the WD hitch because the dealer may have got it wrong.

ENJOY the heck out of the trailer.

Thanks!

I would break it in at home by camping out a few days in it and use everything in it to ensure it works correctly and recheck all the systems to be sure nothing is leaking etc

Got my new Keystone Bullet Premier 31BHPR home this Tuesday. Wasn't home a day before I had the roof seems Eternabonded. Also added more lap sealant to any areas that were lacking from the factory.

If it was mine, I'd be sure that the tires were NOT Chinese. I know many disagree, but it is my opinion. Been over 200,000 miles on various non-Chinese ST tires so far, with my only tire problems being a few repairable nail punctures.

I would also fully load the TT and TV, and then set up the WDH per instructions. Dealers NEVER do it right, for a number of reasons.

Who makes a non Chinese ST tire? Last I checked even the beloved Maxxis were made in China.
