I have a question or two about LED lighting. Here are some bulbs for sale on ebay that I am considering purchasing. LED Lights

Would these work with the standard 921 bulbs in an RV? It looks like the pins are on opposite sides of the bottom of the bulb. I have seen some that have them on the same side. Does that make a difference? I just want to make sure they will work before spending my money.

They will work fine. I have several in my TT. They produce a white light that may not be desirable to some but for me they are fine.

I think that you will find the output too little and too white.

Do you have a refelective bezel around the bulb?
Something to focus the light?
For less than $2.00 you can not go wrong
I have several of them - no issues

Take a look at this 11 page thread:

I bought some of those eBay led lights, 36 panels and 48 panels. Neither was as bright as my old bulbs and neither lasted very long before the leds started failing. I went back to my old bulbs and forgot about the leds. Even at eBay prices they were nothing but a waste of money.

I would advise you to buy a couple and see if you like them before you buy a whole bunch. Be aware that LEDs are polarity sensitive. If a light doesn't work turn the bulb over and it should light. I do think that 28 LEDs will not be as bright as a 921 bulb.

Many people do not like the white light, preferring warm white.

My experience has not been the same as anoldman's. I have converted almost all of my lights to LED and like them. The brightness and color are fine and the current drain is much lower than the incandescent bulbs they replaced. A few of mine have had 3 LEDs fail, out of 36. You can hardly notice the decrease in light output.

I haven't tried those but did convert the whole rig over to leds and couldn't be happier. I agree that the ones you have chosen might be a bit dim. I used 48 LED panels and dimmer 9 LED cob style.

This is my thread with pictures to compare.

I purchased a bunch of 48 LED bright white panels and when I install I will also install a #7812 voltage regulator for each fixture to limit the voltage to the panels as we always use park power and don't want the 14 volts from the converter to 12 volts to the LED panels. As soon as I can use my right hand again I intend to tackle this project in 3 or 4 fixtures and if satisfactory then I will do all of the fixtures. The reason for the delay is I had a accident and lost part of 2 fingers on my right hand and still have pins in one finger.
