The graphics on our 2004 model Fleetwood Tioga 26Q have become faded and cracked from socal sun. It looks like graphics replacement services charge some $3000 and up to remove old, make, and install new graphics. In our case, it might be worth having done as our rig's engine and drive train only have 9000 miles due to a long period of non-use. Just got back from 2000 mile trip up the left coast and it ran like a watch, has new fridge and roof AC unit, etc., etc, and will have new original A&E awning installed tomorrow.

Any advice/recommendations on having this done in Socal (not DIY)will be appreciated.

Look south. There has been several posts about full body paint jobs done in Mexico for about that price.

Thanks, we just got back from Ore-gun, picked up a gorgeous male Border Collie puppy from a gal in Brookings. Want to alert everybody that the Spruce Goose and large airplane exhibit is in McMinnville Air Museum, not at Tillamook Air Museum which is focused on WWII anti-sub blimp operations with a small aircraft display.

Why not just tale off old graphics and not put any back on. Never have to worry again.

I'd just leave it. Who cares what people think anyway

4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Some people do actually care about the appearance of their RV's.

I'd look for a Detail Shop that could/would remove the old striping, and buff and wax the whole thing. They look sharp w/o the garish graphics. But maybe that's just me.

It might still have 'shadows' of the old graphics when complete however. I've seen a few that were done that way and the shadows that were left were not terribly obtrusive. The units I've seen were all very presentable, and looked newer than they actually were.

I would remove the graphics and paint them back on. I don't need them yet but I had some fiberglass work done in Irvine and he quoted me about $3000.00 to remove the graphics and paint them on. His service was Sergio Camacho RV Collison Repair. 714-227-7151. He does some mobile repair also. He did a great job on repairing some fiberglass damage for me. He is local.

I wonder if nobody offers masking and over-painting of faded and cracked graphics. Even though it would probably not be like new, it should be cheaper and look better than leaving as-is or removing all graphics and leaving ghost images.
