Wait...... You can name the trailer???? I have a 2012 f350 I would like to do this

If you have the computer screen in the center of your gauge package the one that that the 'Built Ford Tough' video when you turn the truck on, you should be able to do the same thing.

When your trailer is connected scroll through the menu and you will see the option to name the trailer. Works slick!

Had the same issue with the snap up brackets as you. I chose the bolt on bracket/hooks.

Did you get yours yet? I'm curious how they are gonna work....let me know!

In 3 years of use they are fine. Since they bolt on you need to raise your TT higher to get the chains on unlike the snap up style.

I was sent the heavy duty snap ups also but did this mod first and am happy with it.

Nice!! That gives me one more option should these not work. Do you the 1200lb bars?

I use 1200lbs bars. Am thinking to go to 1400lbs or 1500lbs bars but need to properly weigh my TT first.

I set up my Reece Dual Cam on my new F250 today and had to do quite a few changes from the 2011 Chevy 2500HD. I had to raise the ball 2 spots as the trailer was nose down so I ended up flipping it and reattaching the ball mount a couple of spots down and now it's closer to level, maybe a 1/2in higher in the front of the trailer with my truck empty. I have one loose link on the chain with the weight distributing bars level with the frame.

I took the F250 out for a test ride hooked up and to say I was pleased with the towing ability of the Powestroke would be bit of an understatement. It started when I plugged in the trailer lights. The truck has a cool little feature that allows you to name your trailers, remembers your trailers gain and the miles you have towed it. So once that was all set I hit the tow haul button and put the 6 speed into drive. A smile took over my face as soon as I started to roll. There is no comparing the off the line power of this truck compared to my 2500HD you just can't and I'll leave it at that.

With the ten mile test drive complete I pull back in front of the house to check the measurements again and notice that my snap up bracket had bent and is hanging off. This is the 2nd time with this trailer. So I called tech support at Reece and explained the situation. He gave me 2 options; send me a bolt on bracket/hook or a set of heavy duty snap up brackets. I went with the latter and they are coming to me FREE in the next few days!! Standing by their product....imagine that!! While I was on the phone with him I picked his brain a bit. He told me that the cause may be the taller frame and low welded coupler as my coupler is welded to the button of the a-frame. These brackets are supposed to be much stronger and I hope so!

I can't wait to take the combo on a longer trip to really see what the Powerstoke can do!!

Well you had me going until I saw you were comparing the powerstroke to the 6.0 gas Chevy. I would hope you could feel how much better the diesel was over the gas engine. Hope the new snap ups do the job for you

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

You should consider lowering the ball one notch. Yes your truck was empty at the time, but unless you're throwing a 1000+ pounds in the back of the truck it isn't going to move much, and even with that, the trailer nose will still stay up relative to the truck. It's ok to have the trailer nose down abit, in fact it's preferred to nose up.

I have to put on the new snap up brackets I got today and see what it does. It was over 2 inches nose down before I raised the ball mount.

New snap up brackets arrived and are much stronger. Checked all my measurements again and they are SPOT ON!! Front frame to ground is 20in and the rear is exactly the same!! Took it for a 20 mile ride and it was the same when I returned. I added some pictures of the new brackets.

Truck looks down in the back an it is but its only a 1in or so. Truck is dead nuts level when its empty.
